John Parejko's Personal website

No' much 'ere yet. don't have much else worth putting on the web (and I'm not interested in adding to the hordes of drivel that are out there...)

How about a review of Cliff Bars? I eat them when I'm biking, but I always forget which ones are good, and end up buying ones that aren't. And they are too expensive to do that.

Here's something: my brother kicking ass at college! (warning, it is pretty big!) He's just started at UW Lacross and he's a bloody fast runner (Cross Country). It is always impressive to watch him go. Run Jim, Run!

Well, I suppose a comment that whatever is here is not the opinion of Carleton College and environ's, just me, but that should be obvious, because it's not Carleton's official page. That would be http://www.carleton.edu. Though I recommend the local page for digging for information about the college, because I find it very useful, and not over-laden with slow JavaScript...

Oh, and if you are interested in coming to Carleton, I strongly recommend it, if you are willing to work. It isn't an easy place, but it is a darn good school.

I went to Niagara Falls in early May, 2003 with Alina and her family (minus the dog). Here are some pictures that I stole from her brother's page of our time there.

Cuteness warning!

Also, this is a picture of a baby hedgehog that a friend of my father's sent him. She is a biologist/ecologist from Sao Palo, Brazil, and gets to work with things like this regularly. Lucky her! Its soooo cute!

Astronomy Information

Here is the page I made for the Astro 356 project I did on CCD imaging: Astro n' Me

My final comps copy!

Right here, right now is a copy of the final, now handed in copy of my senior comps project: Techniques of Modern Observational Astrophysics. Acrobat Reader doesn't always display the font cleanly, but it looks just fine when printed. Probably some difference between LyX/LaTeX and Acrobat fonts.

I heard back (before graduation!) and I passed. It is now accesible for anyone interested to read. The fonts might not look great in Acrobat reader, as they are designed for printing (printed copy looks fine), but whatever. Anyone who reads it and has questions, feel free to send me a note about it.

Resume and more

Since it is all the rage right now, I've put my resume up online for all the world to see. Grab it right here (pdf format). Here is another version in PostScript form just in case the first one doesn't open well. Ah, the wonders of LyX.
