The Drexel Chapter of the Society of Physics Students has won one of the Outstanding Chapter Awards for 2009. The chapter was cited for their outreach program at a local middle school and efforts to increase chapter participation. More about the award can be found here.

Dr. Roberto Ramos, Assistant Professor, presented an invited talk "Quantum-to-Classical Crossover in a Conventional Josephson Junction and New Results from MgB2 Junctions" at Northrup-Grumman Corporation, Baltimore, MD, November 12, 2009.

Dr. David Goldberg, Associate Professor, appeared on November 17, 2009, on appeared on WNYC's "Studio 360 with Kurt Anderson," discussing time travel and promoting his forthcoming book "A User's Guide to the Universe: Surviving the Perils of Black Holes, Time Paradoxes, and Quantum Uncertainty." The show was recorded in front of a live audience, simultaneously webcast, and was broadcasted nationally on Public Radio (including Philadelphia's WHYY).

15th Kaczmarczik Lecture: 2004 Nobel Laureate Dr. David J. Gross will be presenting "The Coming Revolutions in Fundamental Physics". The event will be held on March 4, 2010.
