Overview

The following are plots of K2 objects overlayed on the K2 Field of View as well as on Full field Images. Move your cursor over an object to see its light curve. The set of objects being plotted in each campaign is only a subset of all the objects observed in the campaign.

  • Campaign 8: Gordon T. Richards' (subset of GO8052) and Ed Shaya's (GO8070) objects
  • Campaigns 5 and 16: The list of objects that are observed in both campaign 5 and campaign 16 (campiagns 5 and 16 have overlapping fileds of view)

Field of View (FOV)

The set of objects for a campaign are plotted on top of the K2 field of view.

Full Frame Images (FFIs)

For a given channel, the subset of objects in the campaign that lie on the channel are plotted on top of a full frame image taken with the channel.

t-SNE and DBSCAN

t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding (t-SNE) is applied to the set of objects to reduce dimensions. Density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) is used in this dimension reduced space to find outliers.

Cross-Correlation Clustering

The cross-correlation between all of the objects is calculated and the maximum values of the x-correlations are used as features in clustering the objects.
