AMRMHDFCT3D is a 3D MHD code which uses a Flux Corrected Transport(FCT) algorithm. It was developed by Rick DeVore (Naval Research Laboratory).
The images shown here were taken from a simulation of the explosive expansion of a hot dense sphere into a surrounding uniform lower density medium. The initial magnetic field was uniform and in the z direction. The images shown here were all captured after 100 timesteps.
Image 1. The mass density in slices through the center of the computational domain at x=0 and y=0. The yellow rods are magnetic field lines.

Image 2. Same as Image 1 but with the mesh lines superimposed on the slices through the model.

Image 3. The x component of the magnetic field in the y=0 plane.

Image 4. The z component of the magnetic field in the y=0 plane.

Image 5. The mass density in the y=0 plane. The boundaries of grid blocks are superimposed.
