Travel Information
If
you are flying to Rome and you need the schedule of trains from Rome
Termini Station to Naples Piazza Garibaldi Station see the

1) From Naples to Molo Beverello:
The main harbor to reach Capri from Naples is
Molo Beverello
a) If you arrive to Naples
by train:
The main Naples train station (Piazza Garibaldi) is
about 4 km from Molo Beverello. Notice that there is another train
station-Central Station- just a few minutes walking from Piazza Garibaldi
Station. Piazza Garibaldi station, however, is the station closer to Molo
Beverello.
You can
reach Molo Beverello either by the Alibus (the Alibus
is the bus departing every 20 minutes from the Airport and stops at Piazza Garibaldi -schedule)
, by the line-R2 bus, by tram (line 1) or by taxi (expected cost 10-20 Euro-depending on your luggage.
Ask the driver in advance the estimated cost.)
b) If you arrive to
Naples by plane:
From the airport you can reach Molo Beverello either by
taxi or by bus. The bus connecting Naples airport to Molo Beverello (the stop for Molo Beverello is at
stazione Marittima in the Piazza Municipio) is the Alibus. Alibus departures are every 20
minutes from 06:30 until 23:30
(schedule). The
Alibus
ticket costs 3 euros and is operated by A.N.M. bus company (www.anm.it).
2) From Molo Beverello to Capri:
There are several ferry (about 80 minutes to reach
Capri) and hydrofoil (about 40 minutes to reach Capri) companies. For the full

here. Tickets can be purchased at Molo
Beverello.
3) Once you arrive at the Capri dock:
If your hotel is in Capri you can take the
funicular (the best option), the bus or the taxi from the dock to the
Capri center and then walk to your hotel (the town of Capri is not open to
cars).
If your hotel is in Anacapri you can either take the
bus for Anacapri or the taxi (some hotels can be reached by cars while for other
you will have to walk from the bus stop or from where the taxi can stop).
A staff member of the Capri Conference Center (with a "IAU
SYMPOSIUM 246" sign) will be at the Capri dock from 11am to 7pm September 4 to
provide participants with any further information and directions they might need
upon their arrival in Capri.

Capri and Anacapri are two
small towns in the island of Capri.
The Conference Center is located in Capri and all the Hotels reserved by the LOC
in Capri are within walking distance from the Conference Center.
Anacapri is about three miles from Capri. You can reach Capri from Anacapri
either by taxi (about 10-12 Euro one-way) or public transportation (1.3 Euro
one-way).
Participants attending the
