Welcome to Sanghamitra's webpage. Have a look and let me know if
you found what you were looking for, if you stumbled upon this page
acciedentally hopefully you will find something interesting. I am
a graduate student at the Physics Departmnet in Drexel University.
My advisor is Dave Goldberg .You can email me at sd365 at drexel.edu
Research: My current
research centers around gravitational lensing. Recently we have
developed a new method called
Particle Based
Lensing (PBL: pronounced as "pebble") for combining strong and weak lensing. Very soon i will put up some our cool results in the website. Meanwhile there is the poster that I had presented at AAS this year.
I had been involved in
making a statistical measurement of
flexion from radio lobes. I wrote a short
paper
on it for my oral qualifiers.
Personal: Now a little about me, I have been living in Philadelphia
for more than a yea r now. Originally I am from
Kolkata , a city in the eastern part of India. I also spent some
time at IIT, Kanpur and some time at Gainesville,Florida before
coming here. So when I am not doing physics I like to travel. I have
particular interests in
photography. Over the last 3 years I have also developed a lot
of talent in culinary arts and of course there is Sudeep
