
Until August of 2010, Daniel J. Cross was a graduate student in physics at Drexel Univesity. He currently holds a visiting position in the Physics department of Bryn Mawr College. His research interests include the Topological aspects of Nonlinear Dynamics and Group Theoretical methods in physics. He has also been known to dabble with Mach's Principle of Inertia. He is a four time award winning Teaching Assistant for the department of Physics. He has served as computer system administator for the Astrophysics group and as the webmaster for the Drexel Physics, Nonlinear Dynamics, and Low Temperature Physics Group webpages.
He obtained his undergraduate degrees in physics and mathematics from Cedarville University, a small Christian liberal arts school in the middle of a corn field in Ohio. He obtained his masters in Physics from Drexel in 2005 and completed his PhD in August of 2010 on "Representation Theory of Dynamical Systems".
His hobbies and interests include the piano, calligraphy, anime, video games, various sports, and DIY speaker building. He also enjoys reading manga, science fiction and fantasy, nerdy physics books, and theological tomes. He loves coffee, and he keeps pet spiders in the recesses of his basement.
He is also a Christian, and currently attends Church of the Saviour in Wayne, PA. He resides in Malvern, PA with his beautiful wife, Karin.
