The Setup Window allows for the selection of the type of model to simulate as well as the boundary conditions, obstacle type, and type of external dynamics. The window has "tabs" to select between the types of initial conditions.
The "Init" tab allows for the selection of the type of initial population of particles (random uniform or localized particles), and the density per site to choose. The current selection for 0.2 percentage corresponds to 1.4 particles per site in a seven-site FHP lattice-gas model.
The "Models" tab allows for the selection of boundary conditions. The selections include (i) periodic, (ii) up-down periodic, (iii) open tube, and (iv) periodic tube boundary conditions. The tube boundary conditions follow a "wind-tunel" type of conditions.
The "Obstacle" tab allows for the selection of the obstacle to be inserted in the simulation. The choices allow for spheres, squares, plates at an angle, and random small obstacles distributed uniformly.
The "External" tab allows for the selection of the type of driving dynamics, among which are (i) particle injection at x=0, (ii) random injectin of momentum at random sites, and (iii) momentum injection at x=0. The difference between (i) and (iii) is that (i) is for open tube boundary conditions, while (iii) is best for periodic boundary conditions where particles just get "pushed" at x=0.
The "Display" tab allows to choose whether to subtract the average velocity of the simulation to all quantities in the representation.
