FITS binary table of SDSS DR6 galaxies

A FITS binary table of all galaxies with spectra in SDSS DR6 now lives
on the astro cluster at
/home/vogeley/Data/DR6/DR6_gals_spectra.fit

There are 662,266 rows. Table schema is
bestobjid (BigInt), specobjid (BigInt), ra (Float), dec (Float), z
(Real), petromag_r (Real)
Of course, this is self-documented in the file header.

John Parejko gets credit for extracting the table. You can get this in
other formats if you login to
http://casjobs.sdss.org
and go to MyDB, Tables, where you'll see tables published by others in
the Drexel group. So far, French, Goldberg, Richards, McCreery, Parejko,
and Vogeley are members of that group. Parejko is the administrator of
the group.
