Event Announcement
The Drexel Chapters of Sigma Pi Sigma and the Society of Physics Students are hosting a career seminar on Tuesday, November 17th 2009 at 6:00pm in Disque Hall Room 919.
The talk will be given by Dr. Michael A. Fisher, a patent lawyer for the law firm Dechert LLP. Before his career in patent litigation, Dr. Fisher worked as a research and development engineer in the area of solid state electronics. He is the named inventor on two U.S. patents, relating to an infrared imager and a flat-panel computer display. He will discuss his work in patent law, patent design, and his transition from an engineering field, and present an example of a non-traditional career path for science and engineering students.
