The Coldest Spot in Philadelphia

The Low Temperature and Quantum Device Lab has the only active dilution refrigerator in the Philadelphia-South Jersey area, capable of reaching a base temperature of 9 thousandths of a degree above Absolute Zero (.009K). This makes our lab the coldest spot in the Philadelphia-South Jersey area. Seen above is the Oxford MX 400 fridge mounted on a vibration-isolateion platform.
